I FINALLY got to visit the independent, 100% gluten free restaurant in Leeds, The Oxford Place. I had heard so many amazing things all over social media I had to try it out for myself.
As I mentioned before it is an independent, small family run restaurant that is 100% gluten free so completely free from cross contamination worries. The décor is so quirky and individual it sets a really cool vibe. They have an extensive menu with loads of choices and desserts. they also have a wide range of gluten free beers!
First off a picture of me extremely happy with my food.
I went for the ale battered haddock and chunky chips for my main course. The service was very quick and the food absolutely delicious, the portions were massive too!
Ryan went for the beef burger with blue cheese and thin chips, he said it was amazing and being a non-coeliac could not tell it was gluten free!
As you all have probably experienced before, very few restaurants have a good selection (if any) gluten free desserts. We are lucky to get a panna cotta or crème Brule so it was a dream to be able to choose from so many gluten free desserts at The Oxford Place. I could literally of eaten them all but we ended up sharing a piece of vanilla cheesecake with a fruit compote and sticky toffee pudding.
As you can see they were mouth droolingly good!
I couldn’t recommend The Oxford Place enough, the choice was fantastic, service amazing and most importantly the food was delicious! I cannot wait to visit here again.
It is so important that we keep small, independent gluten free restaurants alive so make sure you visit and keep The Oxford Place busy!
